Privacy Policy
What planizimo collects, why, who else ever touches it, and how to make all of it go away. Written to be read, not to be survived.
A plain-English summary, for orientation only. The numbered sections below are the policy, and they govern if the two ever disagree.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone — now or if the business ever changes hands.
- Nobody gets your data for their own purposes. A short list of providers handles it strictly to run the Service for you, and nothing else. Every one of them is set out in section 6.
- You can delete everything, at any time, yourself. One action in your account settings cancels any active subscription and erases your plans and your account. No email to us, no waiting.
- We never see your card. Payment details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.
- We ask for very little. An email address, and the answers needed to build the plan you asked for. No tracking of where else you go, no profile built about you.
- We are honest about the exceptions. Your answers are sent to the specialist providers that build the plan (section 5), and the site carries an advertising measurement tag (section 8).
1 What this policy covers
This policy explains how the operator of planizimo (we, us) handles information about you when you use the website at planizimo.com and the service offered through it (the Service). We decide how and why your information is used, which makes us responsible for it.
It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and should be read alongside them. It does not cover other companies' websites, even where we link to them.
2 What we collect
Your account
- Your email address — it identifies your account and is where your plans are delivered.
- Your password, stored only as a cryptographic hash. We cannot read it, and neither can anyone who obtained a copy of our database.
- If you sign in with a third-party provider instead, the email address that provider confirms to us. We never receive your password for it.
- Short-lived codes and links used to confirm your email address or reset your password.
- When your account was created and when it was last used.
- Your display preferences — light or dark theme, text size, and which view your dashboard opens on.
What you tell us in order to get a plan
The wizard asks whatever the activity you chose needs to know. Typically that means your age, where you are starting from, what you are working towards and by when, which days you can realistically give it, what else you have going on, and anything else you want taken into account in your own words.
Some questions let you write freely, and some people use them to mention an injury, a condition or a limitation. That is fine and it makes the plan better — but only tell us what you are comfortable telling us. Please do not enter medical records, identification numbers, financial details, or information about anyone other than yourself. Nothing in the Service needs them.
Delivery preferences
- The schedule you chose, and whether you want each part the day before or on the day.
- The time of day you want it, and the timezone, country and region you selected so that the time means what you expect.
What the Service produces and you add
- Your generated plans — the dated schedule and the analysis behind it.
- The notes you leave about how a day went, which is what the adapting plans read.
- A record of the plan's history: when it was created, edited, delivered and completed, and the briefs and responses behind each generation.
- Support messages you send us, and the plan they relate to.
Payment records
- Whether a plan is on a trial, a subscription or a one-off payment, and the dates involved.
- The reference our payment provider gives a payment or a subscription, so we can match one to the other.
We do not receive your card number, expiry date or security code at any point. See section 6.
Technical and operational records
- Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider, which include IP addresses, as part of running and securing any website.
- Our own error and diagnostic records — what went wrong, when, and which account or plan it concerned — so that a failed plan or a failed payment can be investigated and fixed.
3 What we never collect, and never do
These are things we do not do, and will not start doing without your explicit consent.
- We do not sell, rent, licence or trade your personal information. There is no commercial arrangement under which anyone pays for access to it.
- We do not share your information with anyone for their own purposes. The providers in section 6 act on our instructions, to deliver the Service to you, and for nothing else.
- We do not build advertising or behavioural profiles from your plan data. What you are training for is never used to target you.
- We do not let your content be used to train anyone's systems. We do not do it ourselves, and our providers are not permitted to.
- We do not track you around the internet, buy data about you from anyone else, or combine what you tell us with information from other sources.
- We do not ask for what we do not need — no phone number, no home address, no identity documents, no device location or GPS data, no connections to wearables or fitness trackers, no social accounts, no contacts.
- We do not send marketing emails, and we do not pass your address to anyone who would.
If we are ever legally compelled to disclose information — by a valid, binding legal instrument — we will disclose only what is strictly required, and we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.
4 Why we use your information
Every use of your information falls into one of these, and each has a reason behind it:
| What we do | Why we are allowed to |
|---|---|
| Create your account and sign you in | To perform the agreement you entered into with us. |
| Build your plan from your answers, and rebuild it from your notes | To perform the agreement — it is the thing you asked us for. |
| Deliver your plan to your dashboard and by email, on your schedule | To perform the agreement. |
| Produce your exports and calendar files | To perform the agreement. |
| Take payment, manage trials and subscriptions, and cancel them when a plan completes | To perform the agreement, and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. |
| Answer your support messages | To perform the agreement, and our legitimate interest in supporting the people who use the Service. |
| Send you account and plan notices — confirmations, trial and billing news, completion | To perform the agreement. These are service messages, not marketing. |
| Keep the Service running, diagnose faults, prevent abuse and fraud | Our legitimate interest in a secure, working service, balanced against your privacy. |
| Understand which adverts bring people to the site | Your consent, where consent is required for the tag described in section 8. |
| Improve the Service using patterns across many accounts | Our legitimate interest in improving what we offer. This uses aggregated figures, not your individual plan content. |
We do not make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects by automated means. Generating a training plan is automated; it changes what your week looks like, not your rights.
5 What is sent out in order to build your plan
Building your plan is automated, and part of it runs on specialist systems operated by third parties rather than on our own servers. We are setting that out plainly because it is the most significant thing that happens to your information, and it would be easy to leave out.
What is sent:
- A brief assembled from your wizard answers — your goal, your target date, your starting point, your availability, your constraints and anything you wrote in your own words.
- For an adapting plan, a short summary of how the plan has gone so far and the notes you left.
What is not sent:
- Your name or your email address.
- Your account identifier, your password, or anything that identifies who you are.
- Any payment information.
Two specialist providers are involved — a primary one, and a fallback used only when the first is unavailable, so that a plan you have paid for still arrives. Each acts as a processor for us: it receives the brief solely in order to return a plan, on contractual terms that let it do nothing else with it, and we do not permit your content to be used to train anyone's systems. Both process data outside the country you are likely to be reading this in — see section 7. If you want to know who they currently are, ask us and we will tell you.
The brief we send, and the plan that comes back, are stored with your plan so that later segments can build on earlier ones and so we can investigate a plan that came out wrong. They are deleted with your plan.
Because the plan is produced automatically, it can be wrong. What that means for you is set out in the Terms & Conditions.
6 The providers who handle data for us
This is the complete list of third parties that ever handle your information, and exactly what each one gets. Every one of them is bound to use it only to provide their service to us, to keep it confidential and secure, and to delete or return it when we ask.
| Provider | What it does for us | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Takes payments and runs subscriptions. | The card and billing details you enter into Stripe's own payment form, and your email address. We receive back only whether the payment worked and a reference for it. |
| Plan-building providers | Operate the specialist systems that turn your answers into a plan and its analysis. There are two — a primary and a fallback used only when the first is unavailable — so that a plan you have paid for still arrives. | The plan brief built from your wizard answers and your notes. No name, email address or account identifier is sent with it. |
| Microsoft Azure | Hosts the website and the database. | Everything the Service stores, held on Azure infrastructure. |
| Optional sign-in, delivery of our emails, and measuring which adverts bring people to the site. | Your email address if you sign in with Google or when we email you; and, for advertising measurement, the browsing and device data described in section 8. |
Payment details are entered into a form served by Stripe and travel directly to Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference for it — never the card number, the expiry date or the security code. Stripe is certified to the card industry's security standard and handles your payment data under its own privacy policy as well as on our instructions.
If we ever add a provider that handles your personal information, we will update this section before it starts.
If our business is ever sold or transferred, your information would move with it, and the commitments in this policy — including section 3 — would go with it and bind whoever takes it on. We would tell you before that happened.
7 Where your information is processed
The Service is available internationally and the providers above operate globally. Your information may therefore be stored or processed in a country other than the one you live in, including countries whose data protection laws differ from your own. This is particularly true of the plan-building providers in section 5.
Wherever it is processed, we require the same standard of protection: contractual commitments that our providers safeguard your information, use it only for the purpose we gave it to them for, and apply appropriate security. We keep the amount of information that leaves our own systems to what each provider actually needs.
9 Emails you receive
Everything we send you is about your account or your plan: confirming your email address, resetting your password, delivering the plan or the next part of it, telling you a trial is ending, confirming a payment or a cancellation, and confirming a deletion. These are part of the Service and cannot be unsubscribed from separately — cancelling the plan or deleting the account stops them.
We do not send marketing emails and we do not run a mailing list. If you ever receive something from us that looks like marketing, it is not from us; please tell us.
10 How long we keep things
We keep things for as long as they are useful to you, or as long as we are required to, and no longer.
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Your account and preferences | Until you delete your account. |
| Your plans, answers, notes and plan history | Until you delete your account, or delete the plan. |
| Support messages you sent us | Up to 24 months after they are resolved, so that we can follow up on a recurring problem. Erased sooner if you ask. |
| Error and diagnostic records | A limited period — normally no more than 12 months — after which they are cleared. |
| Records of payments | Held by our payment provider for as long as its own legal, tax and anti-fraud obligations require, independently of anything we delete. |
| Server logs | Kept briefly by our hosting provider as part of running and securing the site. |
Deleting your account removes your account and all of your plan data immediately and irreversibly. Two things can briefly outlive it: any support correspondence you sent us, and operational records of errors, both of which may still carry the email address they were recorded against. Ask us and we will erase those too. Records our payment provider must keep for its own legal obligations are outside our control.
11 Deleting your account and everything in it
It is in your account settings, under Delete Account. There is no retention offer, no form to fill in and nothing to wait for.
When you delete your account, in this order:
- Every active subscription on your account is cancelled with our payment provider. This happens first, deliberately — deleting your account can never leave a subscription quietly billing you afterwards.
- Your plans are erased — the answers you gave, the generated schedules and analyses, the notes you left, the delivery settings, and the whole history behind each one.
- Your account is erased, including your email address, your password hash and your preferences. You are signed out.
- We email you to confirm that it is done.
We do not keep a copy, an archive or a soft-deleted shadow of your account for later recovery. If you want to keep a plan, export it first — PDF, spreadsheet, CSV or calendar file — from the export screen.
You can also delete a single plan without deleting your account, or cancel a subscription and keep everything already generated. And if you would rather we did it for you, or you cannot sign in, write to info@planizimo.com from the address on the account and we will handle it.
12 Your rights over your information
We extend the following to everyone who uses the Service, wherever you live, rather than only where the law compels it:
- Know what we hold about you and why — this policy is most of the answer, and you can ask for the rest.
- See a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate. Most of it you can edit yourself.
- Delete your information — see section 11.
- Take it with you, in a portable form. Your plans export as PDF, spreadsheet, CSV or calendar files whenever you want; ask us for anything an export does not cover.
- Object to, or restrict, a use of your information that relies on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent where we relied on it, at any time, without affecting what was done beforehand.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these. The Service works the same either way, and it costs the same.
Write to info@planizimo.com from the address on your account. We will respond within one month, and will not charge you. We may need to confirm that the request is really coming from you before acting on it, which protects you rather than us.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first — we would rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority responsible for where you live.
13 How we protect your information
- Traffic between you and the Service is encrypted in transit, and data is encrypted at rest by our hosting provider.
- Passwords are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes, never in a readable form.
- Your email address is confirmed before an account becomes usable, and sensitive actions — cancelling a subscription, deleting an account — ask for your password again.
- Access to production systems is limited to those who need it to operate the Service.
- Payment data never touches our systems at all, which is the strongest protection available for it.
No service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. Use a password you have not used elsewhere. If we ever discover a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required, without undue delay.
14 Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Anyone under 18 needs the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for their use of the Service and for the training decisions taken from it.
If you believe a child has given us information, write to info@planizimo.com and we will delete the account and everything in it, without needing to verify anything further.
15 Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the Service changes, when a provider changes, or when the law requires it. The current version is always here, dated at the top.
For changes that materially affect how your information is used, we will tell you by email or in the Service before they take effect. We will not reduce the commitments in section 3 — no selling, no sharing for others' purposes, no training on your content, no profiling from your plans — without asking for your explicit consent first.
16 How to contact us
For anything in this policy, to exercise a right, or to ask a question we have not answered: info@planizimo.com. You can also send a message from the support option in your dashboard.
Your 7-day free trial, and everything after it, is covered by these commitments from the moment you create an account.
